mustard stain on carpet in SUNOL.I could not find anything of value for removing the stain on the internet.
I decided to use dishwasher detergent, not liquid soap, but the stuff you put in your dishwaher.
I used about 2 cups of warm water with about 3 tablespoons of detergent.
After scraping the area with a knife to remove most of the mustard.
I soaked the area with my waterdetergent solution.
I let that sit for a few minutes and then i just started scrubbing, rewetting, and then scrubbing again, wringing out the rag, and scrubbing again.
It took about 5 minutes of scrubbing but it finally came out.
If you look very closely you will see a bit of discoloration but i bet i am the only one who will know it is there.
On a light grey carpet, that is pretty amazing.
